US nuclear submarine docks in Gibraltar

A US nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine has docked in Gibraltar, the US Navy said in a statement, as tensions with Iran continue to rise.

The Navy confirmed the vessel's arrival on Sunday, describing the visit as a show of military reach and support for Nato allies.

The statement followed comments by US President Donald Trump, who earlier dismissed Iran’s response to a proposed ceasefire as “just unacceptable” and warned the truce was “unbelievably weak” and on “life support”.
