Iran denied responsibility for a drone attack on the Lanaz oil refinery in Iraq’s Kurdish region, Iranian media reported, citing an informed security source.

The attack triggered a fire and forced the suspension of operations at the refinery, a key facility for oil production and distribution in the region.

Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya command also said Shahed drones had been imitated and used in attacks on regional countries, adding that Iranian forces “only target American and Israeli interests.”
