Report: Trump ignored warning Iran might close Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump moved ahead with strikes on Iran despite warnings from the Joint Chiefs of Staff that Tehran might close the Strait of Hormuz, The Wall Street Journal reported. 

According to the report, Trump acknowledged the possibility that Iran could shut the vital shipping route but decided to proceed because he believed Tehran would surrender before that.
