Ulyanov suggests Iran appoint special representative to Russia

Russian envoy Mikhail Ulyanov suggested that Iran consider appointing a special envoy to Russia similar to the arrangement Tehran recently established with China.

In a post on X, Ulyanov responded to reports that Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf had been appointed as a special envoy to China.

“Isn’t it equally relevant to consider something similar in relations with Russia?” Ulyanov wrote.
