Bahrain sentenced a man to life imprisonment after convicting him of espionage and collaboration with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Hezbollah, according to Bahraini judicial authorities. The head of Bahrain’s Terrorism Crimes Prosecution said the High Criminal Court of Bahrain found the defendant guilty of collecting and transferring sensitive information to a foreign state with the intent of carrying out hostile and terrorist acts against the kingdom. The court also convicted him of promoting and supporting hostile acts against Bahrain and ordered the confiscation of seized materials in addition to the life sentence.
