The United Nations called on Israel to take all necessary measures to prevent acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip, while also condemning what it described as indications of ethnic cleansing in both Gaza and the occupied West Bank. In a new report released in Geneva, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk urged Israel to ensure that its forces do not commit acts of genocide and to take immediate steps to prevent incitement to genocide.
