The Government Media Office in Gaza warned on Tuesday of what it described as a dangerous decline in humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip due to the siege and restrictions imposed by Israel. Office director Ismail al-Thawabta said that since the ceasefire agreement came into force, only 48,636 aid trucks had entered Gaza out of the 131,400 trucks that were expected under the agreement, representing what he described as a compliance rate of 37 percent. According to al-Thawabta, more than 63 percent of Gazaโ€™s basic humanitarian needs have therefore not been met.
