Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the Houthi-affiliated Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, criticised moves by Somaliland towards normalising relations with Israel, calling it a “serious mistake” that threatens Yemen and regional stability. He also warned against any new “American or Zionist aggression” against Yemen and the wider region. Al-Mashat said his forces were ready to continue fighting until the “liberation of the last inch” of Yemeni territory, while reaffirming Sanaa’s support for Palestine, Lebanon and Iran.
