At the only facility of its kind in the Gaza Strip, the technical team at Médecins Sans Frontières are intensifying efforts to create transparent plastic masks designed to reduce the visible impact of war injuries suffered by residents. The injuries sustained often leave scars, facial protrusions, and deformities — especially on the faces of children, who endure significant embarrassment and psychological distress within their communities because of these disfigurements.
