Netanyahu threatens to expand offensive in Lebanon as Washington signals support

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened on Monday evening to expand Israel’s military offensive in Lebanon. In a video statement, Netanyahu said: “We will not back down — quite the opposite. I said: press the accelerator in Lebanon.
