Hezbollah says it targeted Israeli troops and tank in south Lebanon

Hezbollah said it launched a rocket barrage targeting Israeli soldiers near the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah in southern Lebanon.

The group also said it targeted a Merkava tank near the town using a drone, according to a statement.

The announcement came amid reports of clashes between Hezbollah and Israeli forces as the Israeli military attempts to push deeper into southern Lebanon and expand its ground operation beyond the so-called “yellow line”.
