Tehran calls on Baghdad to ensure airspace, territory not used to threaten Iran

Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran's Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, urged Iraq to take measures to ensure that its territory and airspace are not used to threaten or attack Tehran, the Tasnim news agency reported. 

Bagheri Kani stressed during a meeting with Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji that "the roots of these threats must be eradicated", adding that Iran was ready to cooperate effectively to address these issues. 

The comments were made on the sidelines of the 14th Moscow International Security Forum.
