Israeli army orders demolition of seven apartments in occupied West Bank

The Israeli military issued demolition orders on Wednesday for seven apartments in the village of Qalandiya, in the occupied West Bank, according to the Jerusalem Governorate.

Israeli forces reportedly stormed the village and handed residents military notices ordering them to demolish their own homes for allegedly being built without permits. Residents were given until the end of the Eid al-Adha holiday on 30 May to comply.

The notices warned that if the owners failed to carry out the demolitions themselves, the Israeli military would do so and impose heavy financial fines on the residents.
