IRGC claims attack on US base in retaliation to Washington's strikes near Bandar Abbas

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said they targeted a US air base at 4.50am local time (1.50am GMT) in response to Washington's attack near Bandar Abbas airport, the Tasnim news agency reported.

They vowed to take on a "more decisive" response if there is another attack, adding that the responsibility for the consequences lay with the "aggressor".

The IRGC did not specify where the base is located.
