Iran expects Fifa to get players multiple-entry US visas for World Cup

Iran’s football federation said that it expects Fifa to help provide its players with multiple-entry visas for the US during the 2026 World Cup.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum stepped in to host Iran’s World Cup team in Mexico after the US refused to do so, meaning the team will play group stage matches in the US but will be based in Tijuana, Mexico.

“Fifa is expected to deliver a multiple-entry visa so that the players can enter and return” from Mexico to the US, President of the Football Federation Mehdi Taj said on Thursday.
