Bessent says US and Iran still ‘going back and forth’ in talks

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Washington and Tehran are still “going back and forth” in negotiations, but declined to directly address the current state of talks.

Speaking at a White House briefing, Bessent said President Donald Trump would not accept an unfavourable agreement.

“He’s not going to take a bad deal,” Bessent said of the US president.
