Vance says US and Iran are 'very close' to a deal

The US and Iran are "very close" to a memorandum of understanding, Vice President JD Vance said, adding that this would extend the ceasefire by 60 days.

He also indicated that the deal would reopen the Strait of Hormuz as well as begin talks on  limiting Tehran's nuclear program.

"We're going back and forth on a couple of language points. We've made a lot of progress here," Vance said. "I can't guarantee that we're going to get there... but right now I feel pretty good about it."
