IRGC says 24 ships passed through Strait of Hormuz under its naval control
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says 24 vessels moved through the Strait of Hormuz over the past day under the supervision of its naval forces.
The official news agency IRNA reported that the ships, including oil tankers and cargo vessels, transited the strategic waterway after coordinating with the IRGC Navy.
In a statement, the IRGC said it is maintaining strict oversight of the strait and warned that any hostile action would be met with “crushing blows”.
The force also said several vessels attempted to enter the Persian Gulf without authorisation by switching off their navigation systems. It said naval units issued repeated radio warnings before intercepting two ships and forcing others to change course.
