Kuwait arrests 16 accused of Hezbollah-linked sabotage plot

Kuwaiti authorities say they have arrested 16 people accused of links to Hezbollah and planning a sabotage operation inside the Gulf state.

The interior ministry said the group included 14 Kuwaiti citizens and two Lebanese nationals. Officials said the suspects were part of a network that intended to carry out activities aimed at destabilising the country.

In a statement, the ministry said the group “aimed to destabilize the country's security and to recruit individuals to join the terrorist organization”.

Authorities said security forces seized weapons, camera drones and Morse code communication devices during the operation.
