Video: Israel plans military-controlled area near Litani River, Katz says
Israeli defence minister Israeli Katz, speaking in Tel Aviv on Monday, vowed to establish a military-controlled zone in the area of south Lebanon’s Litani River.
Katz also said that Beirut would face continuous air strikes if attacks on Israel continued.
His comments come after Israeli forces seized the Beaufort Castle and the strategic ridge surrounding it in southern Lebanon as it continued to expand its offensive despite a nominal ceasefire.
