US lawmaker urges halt to military assistance for Israel

US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar condemned Israel’s military actions in Lebanon and called for an immediate end to US military aid to Israel.

In a post on X, Omar said: “The lesson Israel has learned, time and again, is that it can commit genocide and other atrocities with near-total impunity.”

She added, “Now it’s exporting the Gaza playbook to Lebanon,” arguing that “Israel’s war in Lebanon is killing thousands and displacing over a million.”

Omar concluded her statement with the message: “NO MORE US AID TO ISRAEL.”
