US lawmaker says prolonged conflict harms troops and families
US Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer renewed his criticism of US President Donald Trump over the conflict with Iran, arguing that delays in reaching a resolution are harming American troops and families.
In a post on X, Schumer wrote: “Trump says he’s in ‘no hurry’ to end the war in Iran. No hurry? Tell that to our troops in harm’s way. Tell that to their families. Tell that to the Americans getting crushed by record gas prices at the pump.”
He added: “We will not stop fighting to end this war once and for all.”

No hurry?
Tell that to our troops in harm’s way.
Tell that to their families.
Tell that to the Americans getting crushed by record gas prices at the pump.
We will not stop fighting to end this war once and for all. https://t.co/Np3Gyw9uho
