Fresh round of Israel-Lebanon ceasefire talks begin in Washington

Lebanon's National News Agency is reporting that the fourth-round of negotiations between Lebanon and Israel have begun.

The agency said that the talks are taking place at the US State Department headquarters in Washington.

Meanwhile Israeli bombardment has continued to pound southern Lebanon, after the US reportedly intervened to halt a renewed Israeli assault on Beirut.

On Tuesday, Al Jazeera reported heavy strikes targeting the Nabatieh and Tyre districts.
