Hezbollah says its fighters ambushed Israeli troops, destroyed three tanks

Hezbollah said its fighters carried out several attacks on Israeli troops in southern Lebanon, including an ambush on soldiers on the outskirts of the city of Khiam.

The group said the attack struck three Israeli Merkava tanks, which it said were "seen burning".

The group had earlier said it fired rockets at Israeli forces in the town of Merkaba, carried out artillery strikes near Aitaroun, and attacked Israeli troops in the Kahil Heights near the border town of Maroun al-Ras.
