Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister said Tehran does not consider any proposal with the United States to be final unless Iran’s comments and interests are taken into account. He said Iran insists that 50 per cent of its frozen assets be made available immediately upon signing a memorandum of understanding with the United States. Earlier, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that “there will be no calm in the region unless the Zionists withdraw from the occupied Lebanese territories”. The IRGC added that US intervention in the name of promoting peace has resulted only in further crimes and genocide in Lebanon.
