UN says Israeli attacks leave 1.4 million in Lebanon needing aid
The UN’s humanitarian office says Israeli attacks have directly affected at least 1.4 million people across Lebanon, leaving them in need of urgent assistance.
OCHA said aid groups reached more than 680,000 people with at least one form of support between March 2 and May 31.
But the agency warned that the scale of need remains far greater, as Israel’s attacks continue to deepen Lebanon’s humanitarian crisis.
OCHA is seeking an additional $331.5m to help 1.4 million “vulnerable people in need” through August.
