Trump says Iran retains about 22% of missile capability
US President Donald Trump said Iran retains only about 21 to 22 percent of its missile capability following US military operations, claiming American forces had “totally destroyed” the country’s military infrastructure.
Speaking to NBC News, Trump said: “I would say, percentage-wise, maybe 21, 22 percent of their missiles. It’s a lot of missiles, but it’s not what it was when we first attacked.”
His comments appeared to differ from a reported assessment by US intelligence agencies cited by The New York Times, which said Iran had restored operational access to 30 of its 33 missile sites along the Strait of Hormuz and retained about 70 percent of its prewar missile stockpile.
