Palestinian detained after defending himself from Israeli settler attack

Israeli forces detained a Palestinian driver after he defended himself during an attack by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank on Saturday.

The incident came after settlers threw rocks at vehicles in the south of Bethlehem, following an attempt by Israeli forces to evacuate an illegal settler outpost, Haaretz reported.

The army said an Israeli settler was lightly wounded in the head when the Palestinian driver’s vehicle hit him during the attack.

Israeli forces later detained the Palestinian driver, along with others, and took them for questioning.
