Hundreds march in Manchester in support of Palestinians
Hundreds of people carrying Palestinian flags marched through the streets of Manchester to express solidarity with Palestinians and call on the British government to end its support for Israel.
Videos shared by Friends of Palestine in Greater Manchester showed demonstrators carrying flags, chanting pro-Palestinian slogans and displaying a large banner reading “End the Israeli Occupation”.
The march, titled “Manchester Stands with Palestine … Break the Chain of Killing”, coincided with the 59th anniversary of the Naksa, the June 1967 war after which Israel occupied the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.
