IRGC reports operation against armed groups in northern Iraq
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it carried out a strike on what it described as the headquarters of “terrorist groups” in Sulaymaniyah, in northern Iraq, according to statements reported by Iranian state-linked media.
The IRGC said the target was located in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region and described the operation as part of its campaign against armed separatist groups operating near Iran’s borders.
Iranian media reports also claimed that Tehran has intensified actions against such groups, alleging that foreign actors are attempting to support anti-Iranian militias.
