Iran’s army said early on Thursday that it had attacked the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain using various types of drones, in response to what it described as US aggression against the Islamic Republic. According to a statement issued by the Iranian army’s public relations office, “following the violation of the ceasefire and the terrorist US military aggression against areas in the south of the country, the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran attacked the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain using various types of suicide drones.” The statement added that “communication antennas and radar facilities linked to the Patriot defence system of the Fifth Fleet were targeted in this wave of drone attacks.” The army said it stood “shoulder […]
