Israeli forces use tear gas and stun grenades on Palestinians near Bethlehem

Israeli forces fired tear gas and stun grenades at Palestinians near Solomon’s Pools, a historic tourist site south-west of Bethlehem, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The report said the military also closed access to the area and imposed movement restrictions.

The site, located about 3.5 kilometres south-west of Bethlehem, consists of three ancient stone reservoirs that historically served as a major water source for Jerusalem.
