Hamas condemns 'treacherous' killing of Larijani, lauds his support for Palestine

Hamas on Wednesday condemned the “treacherous” Israeli strike on Tehran that killed Iran's national security chief Ali Larijani, his son and several others.

Praising Larijani’s support for the Palestinian cause, the group extended condolences to Iran’s leadership and people, calling the attack a “flagrant aggression” against Iran.

"As we mourn Mr. Ali Larijani and all the martyrs who ascended in the brutal zionist-American aggression, we recall with full appreciation his honorable positions in supporting the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of our people," the group said. 

Hamas said it stood in solidarity with Iran, accusing Israel and the United States of escalating tensions in the region.
