Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council Chairman, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, said on Monday that the political process is an internal Sudanese matter that must take place inside the country and be driven by the will of the Sudanese people. He added that Sudan welcomes any support aimed at achieving stability, peace and development, provided it respects the country’s sovereignty. His remarks came during a meeting with European Union ambassadors accredited to Sudan in the capital, Khartoum, according to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA).
