Araghchi briefs parliament on US-Iran agreement ahead of Geneva talks
Iran has intensified diplomatic consultations ahead of the signing of its agreement with Washington and the start of negotiations in Geneva.
Foreign minister Abbas Araghchi held a series of discussions with regional counterparts and diplomatic representatives in Tehran, while also briefing members of parliament's National Security Committee on recent developments in the diplomatic process.
According to the Iranian foreign ministry, Araghchi and his Omani counterpart discussed the memorandum of understanding during a telephone call and "affirmed their continued coordination to support regional stability".
The ministry said Araghchi also reviewed negotiations with the United States and outlined the terms of the agreement aimed at ending the war.
Members of the National Security Committee expressed parliament's support for the diplomatic effort "in a way that serves the interests of the nation".
