Iran has executed a man accused of spying for Israel, according to a statement from Iranian judicial authorities published by the Fars News Agency on Wednesday. The death sentence handed down to Kurosh Keyvani, who was alleged to have ties to Israel’s foreign intelligence service, Mossad, was carried out, the statement said. Keyvani’s death sentence, following the completion of his trial for allegedly transmitting images and information regarding strategic locations to Mossad, had been approved by the Supreme Court, the statement said. Keyvani was arrested on the fourth day of a 12-day war that broke out in June last year, when the US and Israel attacked Iran.
