Netanyahu says he wants to lessen Israeli dependence on US weapons

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for strengthening Israel's military autonomy and lessen their reliance on the US.

“I want independence in terms of arms,” he declared during a meeting Thursday with a group of reserve officers in the occupied West Bank.

"We need our own autonomous weapons system. We must manufacture our own weapons."
