Parents of dozens of Israeli soldiers serving in Lebanon have said they will not allow their sons to be “sacrificed for external considerations”, calling for an end to the fighting and the immediate return of troops. The appeal came in an “urgent” letter sent to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defence Minister Israel Katz, and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, according to Israel’s Channel 12 television on Tuesday evening, as reported by Anadolu Agency.
