US embassy in Kuwait resumes operations after wartime suspension

The US embassy in Kuwait has resumed operations after services were suspended following Iranian attacks earlier this year, a US state department spokesperson has said.

The embassy will immediately restart emergency services for US citizens, while other consular services will be restored in phases, the spokesperson said.

The state department suspended operations at its embassies in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia after Iranian drones targeted the diplomatic missions following the outbreak of the US-Israeli war on Iran.
