The Israeli army will remain in territory occupied in Lebanon, Syria and the Gaza Strip “indefinitely,” Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said Thursday, Anadolu reports. The army “will remain in the security zones in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza – indefinitely,” Katz said at a combat officers’ course graduation ceremony at the Israel Forces Officers Training School, as cited by Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper. “Commanders and soldiers have all the necessary backing to complete their mission and defend themselves and the citizens of Israel,” he reportedly added.
