More on Netanyahu-Trump phone call

Middle East Eye earlier reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone call with US President Donald Trump on Friday.

A statement from Netanyahu’s office said the prime minister congratulated Trump on the 250th anniversary of US independence, calling the country “a guarantor of global freedom”.

“Israel greatly appreciates the close ties between nations,” Netanyahu said, according to the statement.
