Mohammed Fawaz Al-Wahidi, director of the Egyptian Committee in Gaza City, was killed on Tuesday after an Israeli airstrike targeted his vehicle in central Gaza City, according to Palestinian sources. Witnesses said an Israeli drone fired a missile at Al-Wahidi’s vehicle near Al-Jazeera Club in the city center. The strike killed Al-Wahidi, 57, and injured several other people who were with him. His body was taken to Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, where hundreds of mourners from Gaza City’s Al-Sabra neighbourhood gathered to pay their respects before his funeral.
