The Israeli military on Wednesday, demolished a newly built Palestinian home in the West Bank town of Idhna, west of Hebron, citing a lack of Israeli-issued construction permits, Anadolu reports. Local resident Hamza Batran told Anadolu that Israeli forces accompanied by heavy bulldozers raided the village before sealing off the site. Troops then demolished a 160-square-meter (about 1,720-square-foot) house and an adjacent water well belonging to his cousin, Muhammad Batran. According to the family, the owner had spent his life savings over the past 12 years to construct the property and was finalizing preparations to move in.
