Israel suspends attacks on Lebanon under American pressure, report says

The Israeli government ordered the military to refrain from carrying out “sensitive operations” in southern Lebanon following American pressure, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported.

The Israeli army is preparing to withdraw from two areas next week as part of a pilot project where the Lebanese army is set to take exclusive control and gradually disarm Hezbollah.
