Israel targets Syria saying it will 'not tolerate harm toward Druze population'

The Israeli military on Friday said that it struck infrastructure sites belonging to the Syrian government overnight in response to alleged attacks against Druze civilians in Sweida, Reuters news agency reported. 

The Israeli military said it targeted a "command centre and weapons in military compounds" in southern Syria, adding it will "not tolerate harm toward the Druze population".
