UKMTO advises ships to transit with caution, report 'suspicious activity'
The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) advised vessels to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity after an Iranian missile struck a Cyprus-flagged ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
The attack on the vessel was followed by a fresh round of US strikes on several Iranian cities.
The UKMTO said it had received a report of "an incident 9NM east of Oman".
"Military authorities have reported that a container ship has sustained damage to the rear of the vessel, causing a fire on board," the UKMTO said in a post on X.
