Syria set to host first economic forum with the US

Syria is set to host its first business forum alongside the US on Monday, with the event focused on Syria’s economic recovery, reform plans and investment opportunities.

The forum, organised by the Ministry of Economy and Industry and the Syrian-American Business Council, marks another step towards economic restoration following Washington's decades of sanctions on the country.
