Israeli attacks reported in southern Lebanon

Intermittent Israeli artillery fire is being reported between the towns of Nabatieh al-Fawqa and Kfar Tebnit in southern Lebanon despite a supposed “ceasefire” and ongoing talks between the countries, according to the National News Agency.

The Lebanese health ministry said that more than 4,300 people have been killed and another 12,200 wounded since the start of Israel’s invasion on 2 March.

Meanwhile, Lebanese officials are due to meet with their Israeli counterparts for negotiations on Tuesday in Rome, amid criticism and protesting from many in Lebanon who have accused their government of complying with Israel’s demands.
