Report: Iran rescues over a dozen bulk carrier crew after collision in Hormuz Strait
Iran reportedly rescued 23 foreign crew members north of Qesh Island in the Strait of Hormuz, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.
The incident occurred after a bulk carrier collided with another vessel in the waterway. The bulk carrier suffered serious damage as a result and began taking on water.
This prompted the captain to order an emergency evacuation. Fars reported that crew onboard were safely transferred to Qeshm Island.
