Israeli defense minister Katz says destruction in Gaza gives him a 'good feeling'

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz during a tour of northern Gaza said that the widespread destruction in the besieged enclave gives him a "good feeling".

When asked how he felt looking at the state of Gaza, Katz said: "A good feeling, isn’t it?"

The defence minister expressed that this was an outcome of a "deliberate policy" aimed at removing threats, adding that Israel left behind its previous strategy of carrying out temporary military raids.

"Instead of entering and leaving, the army is inside, the terrorists are outside, and the houses are destroyed."

He also announced plans to establish three military-linked settlement outposts in the Strip.
